for an exam I`m preparing for.

A We do normally keep that one. Let me just look it up on the computer. Yes, according to

this we have three copies. Look at those shelves near the window.

A Oh, good evening. I made an appointment to see Mr. Adams this morning. Can I see him?

B Yes, but first I need you to fill out this form so we can get your details. Have you been to

our Medical Centre before?

A Oh, no. I don`t think so.

After breakfast she reads personal letters and has an important business consultation with Private Secretary and then works at government documents. At 1 o`clock she has a quick lunch in her private apartment in Buckingham Palace and at 2 o`clock leaves the Palace to open a new hospital. There she makes speeches, shakes hands and has a cup of tea. At 4.45 she is back at the Palace and works in her office. At 5.30 she receives foreign visitors and then has the final meeting with her Private Secretary. In the evening she goes to St. James Palace where she has a reception party and talks with 70 people. Then she goes back to the palace and at 8.30 has dinner with Philip and a group of some businessmen. At 10 o`clock she watches television news and then reads some official papers and telephones some members of the Royal Family – just to see if all is well. At about 11 o`clock she goes to bed.

One day my sister and I went to the Zoo. It was a nice sunny day and we were enjoying our time in this way. We were walking around the Zoo but suddenly we saw a hole in the fence of a cage. Whose cage would this be? And I was really surprised when I found out that it was the cage of a giraffe! Can you imagine? I couldn’t… But the director of the Zoo said: “Those who can find the giraffe will be given a kilogram of ice cream.” For children it would be the best price. So we decided to go on search of the giraffe. We were running across the streets, asking people if they saw a brown giraffe with yellow spots. We also went to the underground stations, but we couldn’t find this giraffe. We didn’t know what to do.

So we began to think where this stupid giraffe could go. We went over the town but all we could find was just a toy giraffe. We were so hungry that we decided that we didn’t need this ice cream any more. We returned to the Zoo and came close to the giraffe’s cage. Can you imagine what happened at the last moment? I saw the giraffe sleeping in his cage!!! I was very angry!! Was it just a joke??

I called the director of the Zoo and said that all that time we were running after the giraffe he was sleeping in his cage!!! When the director saw the giraffe sleeping in his bed he was very pleased. He apologized and gave us a kilogram of ice cream. We were happy and tired. But I must say that it isn’t easy to run all over the city in search of…..A GIRAFFE!!!

My name is Tony. Last Saturday I went for the picnic at the beach with my family. My mother drove the car. My father has bought a new CD player for the car so we listened to music and sang songs while we were driving to the beach. When we arrived my little sister made a sand castle and I went for a swim in the sea. I didn`t stay in the water long, it was too cold.
